In-School Occupational Therapy provides occupational therapy services at school for Westminster School students. We conduct assessments and offer therapy programs that aim to support children's fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation skills and independence in self-care activities, enhancing student engagement and well-being in the school environment.
Our services include:
Fine & Gross Motor Skills
We offer assessment and treatment for fine and gross motor skills to assist children with tasks like writing, cutting and participating in physical activities at school.
Self-Care Activities
We support children in developing independence in self-care activities such as toileting and dressing, which are crucial for participation in the school setting.
Self-Regulation Skills
We cover areas of sensory processing, executive functioning and emotional regulation to help children manage their responses and stay engaged in learning.
Equipment Prescription & Environmental Adaptation
We provide guidance on choosing appropriate equipment and making environmental adjustments to ensure students can fully participate in school activities.
Working in Partnership With Educators
Our services are designed to be flexible, allowing us to collaborate directly with teachers and staff at Westminster School to address any concerns or challenges a student may experience. We also provide advice and recommendations based on our assessments, ensuring that educators have the tools they need to support each student's unique needs.
